Saturday 26th September 2009 - Reid Hall, Forfar   We were delighted that the harpist Sophie Crichton joined us for this concert.  Sophie was the soloist in William Alwyn's "Lyra Angelica" - a Concerto for Harp and String Orchestra. The remainder of the programme was: Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No 3 in G Major Elgar – Serenade for Strings in E Minor Op 20 Haydn – Symphony No 22 in E Flat (The Philosopher) TSO’s Autumn Serenade -  a ‘very interesting recital’ said the Dundee Courier.  Read the full crit here. Saturday 20th June 2009 - Caird Hall, Dundee This was a joint concert with the Arbroath Instrumental Band, conductor Mike Robertson Programme: Orchestra only: Rossini - Overture "William Tell" Haydn - Trumpet Concerto, Soloist - Euan Crabb Morriconi - Gabriel's Oboe, arranged for trumpet and orchestra by Euan Crabb Band only: Works by Paul Lovet-Cooper, Luc Vertommen, Edward Gregson and Peter Graham. Orchestra and band together: Andrew Duncan - The Declaration of Arbroath, re-scored by the composer for Band & Orchestra, this was the first performance of a new version which was commissioned by both groups especially for tonight's concert. Saturday 21st June 2008 - Caird Hall, Dundee We were delighted to welcome back Sarah Williamson as our soloist for this concert.  Sarah has played twice before with TSO to great acclaim.
